Five Weeks In… and Soccer Tournament Season Is Almost Here

Action Photography Collage

It’s hard to believe we are already heading into Week Five of the spring soccer season.

Some weekends have been cold, some rainy and windy, and some absolutely beautiful — but one thing has stayed the same every single weekend: the passion these athletes bring onto the field.

Over the past few weekends, I had the chance to stand on the sidelines through sunshine, wind, cold mornings, late games, tough losses, beautiful wins, and moments that remind all of us why youth sports are so special.

This season has already been full of passion, determination, teamwork, and growth.

And while goals are exciting, some of my favorite moments to capture are the ones happening between the plays:
The encouragement between teammates,
The focus before kickoff,
The celebrations after hard work finally pay off,
and those emotional moments, parents sometimes only fully notice later through photographs.

The games are definitely getting more intense as we move closer to tournament season. You can feel the energy changing on the field. Every play matters a little more. Every athlete is pushing harder. Every team is finding its rhythm.

This spring, I’ve also been incredibly excited to officially join Fox Valley Bayern SC as the club’s action photographer, documenting these memories for so many amazing athletes and families throughout the season.

As both a photographer and soccer mom, I know how quickly these years pass.

One season turns into another.
Kids grow.
Teams change.
Friendships form.
And suddenly those little moments become memories we wish we could hold onto forever.

That’s why sports photography means so much more to me than just action shots.

It’s about preserving the story of the season.

As we head into tournaments, I would love to hear from you:

  • What has been your favorite moment of the season so far?

  • Has your athlete surprised you this spring?

  • What do your kids love most about being on the field?

  • And parents… do you also feel like these seasons go by way too fast?

If you would like me to capture your athlete or team during upcoming games or tournaments, registration and coverage information is available on my sports page, or feel free to contact me directly. ⚽📸

See you at the PUMA Tournament in Wheaton this weekend.
