FAQs
✨ Maternity Session – FAQ
When is the best time to schedule a maternity session?
Typically between 28–34 weeks, when your bump is beautifully round but you’re still comfortable.
Can my partner or children join?
Absolutely! Including loved ones adds warmth and connection to your story.
What should I wear?
I recommend soft, flowing dresses or fitted gowns that highlight your shape. I’m happy to help plan outfits and suggest colors that photograph beautifully.
Where do sessions take place?
Sessions can be held in my cozy Algonquin studio or outdoors around the northwest Chicago suburbs, depending on your vision.
🤍 Newborn Session – FAQ
When should I book my newborn session?
Ideally, while you’re still pregnant. We’ll pencil in your due date and adjust once your baby arrives.
How old should my baby be?
The best time is within the first 14 days for those sleepy, curled-up poses — but I welcome babies of any age.
How long does the session take?
Typically 2–3 hours, allowing plenty of time for feeding, soothing, and breaks.
Can parents and siblings be included?
Yes! Family and sibling portraits are always encouraged.
What should we bring?
I provide all wraps, props, and accessories, but feel free to bring anything special you'd like to include.
👨👩👧👦 Family Session – FAQ
Where do sessions take place?
Outdoors in beautiful natural light or in my Algonquin studio — whichever fits your family’s style.
What should we wear?
Coordinating colors (not matching exactly) photograph best. I’m happy to help plan outfits to make everyone feel comfortable and confident.
How long is the session?
Usually 45–60 minutes, keeping it relaxed and fun for little ones.
Can we bring pets?
Yes! They’re part of your family story, too. Just let me know in advance.
🎉 Event Photography – FAQ

Baptisms, birthdays, First Communions, baby showers, bridal showers, celebrations of life, and more.
Do you offer candid and posed photos?
Yes — my style blends documentary coverage with gently posed family and group portraits.
How many hours can I book?
Events are booked hourly (2-hour minimum) so you can choose what fits your needs.
How long until we get our images?
Typically around 3 weeks, delivered in an online gallery for download and sharing.
⚽ Sports Photography – FAQ
What types of sports do you photograph?
Soccer, basketball, football, and more — from individual athletes to entire teams.
Do you capture both action shots and portraits?
Action on the field mostly with some posed portraits or team portraits.
Where do sessions take place?
At your practice, game, or tournament location.
How do we get the images?
I love meeting with athletes and families after the game to review the gallery together, select favorite action shots, and choose prints or keepsakes to remember the season.
💍 Wedding Photography – FAQ
Do you offer packages or hourly coverage?
Both! We’ll discuss what fits your day best — from intimate ceremonies to full-day coverage.
Will we meet before the wedding?
Yes — I always include a consultation to plan your timeline, must-have shots, and your vision.
Do you work with a second shooter?
For larger weddings, I often recommend adding a second photographer to capture more angles and moments.
How long until we get our photos?
Typically around 6–8 weeks, depending on the season — with a sneak peek shared sooner.
Do you travel?
Yes! Travel within the northwest suburbs and Chicago is included; further travel can be arranged.
🩵Heritage Lifetime Collection-FAQ
What is the Heritage Lifetime Collection?
It’s a once-a-year full photography session designed to preserve your family’s story through every season of life.
Each year, you’ll enjoy a complete portrait experience — from planning to final delivery — with extra digital images included at no additional cost.
This collection ensures your family’s memories are documented beautifully year after year, without worrying about future price increases or booking limits.
How is the price determined?
The Heritage Lifetime Collection is priced at $4000, based on my current middle-tier full session price of around $800 per session.
When you add that up over ten years, it’s about $7000 in value — so this package actually saves you thousands while locking in your rate for a decade.
You’re essentially prepaying for ten years of full sessions, with additional digital images included every year.
What does “once per year” mean?
You’ll receive one full session each calendar year — perfect for family updates, milestone portraits, or even special events.
Each session includes a full experience: planning consultation, session day, viewing appointment, and digital gallery.
Can I reschedule or postpone my session?
Yes! Life happens — sessions can be transferred or rescheduled within the same year at no cost, as long as it’s within that calendar year and based on studio availability.
What if something happens after a few years?
In the event of major life changes — such as a death in the family or relocation — your remaining sessions can be:
Transferred to an immediate family member (for example, your child, sibling, or parent), or
Used as a legacy session to celebrate and preserve family memories.
Your investment remains non-refundable, but it will always hold value for your family’s story.
What if we move out of the area?
If you relocate, you can still use your session when visiting family in the area, or we can discuss travel options at an adjusted rate.
Can I share this collection with other families?
This collection is reserved for one immediate family household, but extended family can absolutely be included in your yearly session.
Are payments refundable?
No — all payments are non-refundable and non-disputable once processed, as this plan locks in long-term value and session dates.
However, flexibility within each year ensures that you never lose a session due to scheduling conflicts.
Do sessions ever expire?
Your sessions are intended for one per year. If you skip a year, the session can be carried over once, but we encourage you to keep up with annual portraits — that’s what makes this collection so special.
